🔥 Quest into the Multiverse
Etherborn, the boundaries of the Multiverse have been torn and rifts are opening up across the realm. New horrors are pouring fourth from them and it is up to you to fight the hordes back and repair the tears. If you persevere, you can earn treasures which have value beyond this world.
As part of this journey, you can expect the following
Find multiverse rifts which have opened up across the realm in quests, boss encounters and a new world event.
Multiverse rifts will spawn combinations of enemies that have never been seen together offering new challenges.
Defeat the new Rift Guardian, Rift Master and Rift Overlord enemies which have new skills and techniques.
Multiverse enemies will drop a special resource called "Multiverse Essence". Collect the essence to climb a new leaderboard.
The top players on the leaderboard will earn Multiverse items that can be used across many games.
The barriers will tear on October 1st at 00:01 UTC causing rifts to start opening. Etherborn will have until October 15th at 23:59 to rise to the challenge and close them.
🌐 Rifts Have Opened
When doing quests, there is now a random chance that one or more Multiverse Rifts will spawn. Approach the rift to trigger it and defeat the waves of enemies that pour forth. Enemies that come from the rift can drop Multiverse Essence. Furthermore, the rift itself will drop more essence once it is fully closed.
It is also now possible for the final quest event to spawn a Greater Multiverse Rift. A Rift Master boss will emerge which must be defeated to complete the quest.
Beyond that, there are some rare rift spawns which have a chance to appear. Keep your eyes out for these...
Golden Rift: Drops large amounts of gold when closed.
Spirit Rift: Drops spirit shards when closed.
Legendary Rift: Spawns a large number of elites including a legendary Rift Guardian
💰 Multiverse Leaderboard and Rewards
Players will collect Multiverse Essence as a sign of their efforts to fight back the rifts. The more essence a player holds, the higher they will rank on the new multiverse leaderboard. The leaderboard will be refreshed hourly with the latest holdings per player
The rewards for the October event will be as follows...
Ranks 1-50 will receive a Shadowsong.
Ranks 51-125 will receive an Oindrasdain.
Ranks 125-225 will receive an Archspire.
⚔️ Beyond the Rift World Event
Along with rifts comes the 2nd ever Etherscape world event. The "Beyond the Rift" event will trigger once every 2 hours while the multiverse quest is live. It is designed for a team of 5 players and will spawn at multiple difficulty levels. The higher the level the better the rewards for the players.
In this event, you will go beyond the rift to face off against the Rift Overlord. The overlord has the power to open up minor rifts which will cause enemies to pour into the level and overwhelm you. If you do not kill them fast enough, the overload with syphon their souls into himself to gain health. Prepare yourself for the most challenging content in the Etherscape yet!
