Community Wallet Staking

Etherscape is built from the ground up to have a sustainable player driven economy. A fundamental pillar of that sustainability comes from the Community Wallet. The Community Wallet grows from revenue share, nominator rewards and validator rewards. These funds are then used to reward players in game for activities like arena and heroics.
We are excited to announce that the Community Wallet growth with now be super charged through Enjin Staking. Check out the details below to see how players will be getting even more rewards!
Staking and Rewards 🥩
Enjin can be staked into nomination pools to help secure the blockchain. Staking participants are then rewarded with the best available pools providing around 30% returns. This is a great way to grow Enjin holdings over time and we are now taking advantage of it with the community wallet.
At the time of this writing, the community wallet has 114K ENJ in it and we have now staked 85K of that. This will generate ~500 ENJ a week in rewards which will result in the Community Wallet balance growing even faster. 3% of the wallet balanced is used to reward players every week. So, the larger it gets, the larger the opportunity to earn.
You can learn more about how we implement staking in our whitepaper here. We keep a 25% buffer for paying out weekly player rewards while staking the rest to grow 🪴.
Sustainable Growth 📈
At its core, Etherscape is designed to be sustainable. Over the past year we have shown that that Community Wallet architecture works by continually growing its balance month over month.
Currently the wallet is growing based on the following sources...
25% share of all game revenue (varies week to week)
100% of nomination pool rewards (~4K ENJ per week)
25% of validator rewards (~800 ENJ per week)
30% rewards for staking (~500 ENJ per week)
Based on this, Etherscape will be able to fund meaningful rewards that scale with its player base for decades to come.
SubStreak Partnership 🤝
In order build the pipeline that automates tracking of staked ENJ we have partnered with the SubStreak team. They provide API's that allow easy access to staking data that is critical for our implementation. A huge thanks to their team!
Using these API's we are also now syncing staked ENJ for player linked wallets in game. You can already see your staked ENJ in game today! This sets the stage for us to reward players for choosing to stake in Etherscape managed pools.
